For hundreds of years, the witch was the villain in our common stories. In Denmark, 1,000 people were burned at the stake for witchcraft, and in the fairy tales, the witch was the evil one that the hero had to fight. Today, however, many of us have embraced the witch and worship her as a hero. Author of the Rosenholm trilogy and the Fairy Tale Sagas Gry Kappel Jensen talks about the witch as a hero and the journey from witch persecution to hero worship.
