# Nordic Art Leather at Markedspladsen

Leatherwork from scratch with inspiration from Nordic culture.

In the small creative leather workshop, Nordic Art Leather, where everything, simply everything, is handmade, I work mainly inspired by my Nordic cultural background from before Christianity. Both the physical, but equally the spiritual. The animistic belief that everything is soulful and has its own independent value. It is a worldview that I have always been fascinated and inspired by. The beautiful and often very colourful symbolic expressions in natural materials are a source of joy and enthusiasm, which I try to translate into my leather work.

Leather is a fantastic, natural, and in its basic form a sustainable material that can be cut, sewn, dyed and shaped. I use vegetable tanned full grain leather from its raw form, cut motifs in relief and print patterns, dye and sew by hand to the finished result.

My wife and I will be participating in Fantasyfestival for the first time. We are really looking forward to it, and at the same time it gives me the opportunity to show what I do and, perhaps, refresh real leather as a material for both pleasure and benefit.
