# Christmas in the Iron Forest - the pre-Christian Christmas as fantasy

An atmospheric Christmas tale from the Vølvens vej universe, where the giantess Hyrrokin offers snow, fairy lights and Old Norse Christmas magic. Inspired by the word Christmas and pre-Christian traditions from the Viking Age, Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen draws on mythology and historical sources to create the story. The tale unites warmth, winter and Nordic cultural heritage – and is published in connection with this year's Fantasyfestival, where it will be presented for the first time.
