Experience one of Denmark’s finest and most in-demand actors when Alex Høgh Andersen takes the stage in the Concert Hall of Musikhuset for a live conversation during this year’s Fantasyfestival.

From his fearless role as Ivar the Boneless in 51 episodes of the hard-hitting, critically acclaimed TV series Vikings, to strong supporting roles in films such as The Shadow in My Eye and Nightwatch 2 – and most recently the commanding lead as uncompromising detective Otto Himmelstrup in Unit One: The First Murder, a film set in Esbjerg and launching this year’s Biografklub Danmark season.
At just 31 years old, Alex has already established himself as an actor impossible to ignore. His on-screen presence is both magnetic and intense. He has a unique ability to create characters we remember. But who is the man behind the roles?
What is it like to embody a figure such as Ivar the Boneless? What is it like to meet international stars and work on a global film set? How does it feel to step into the lead role of a major new film? What are Alex’s thoughts on the fantasy genre, and which actors and stories inspire him?
