Victoria Aveyard is Guest of Honour
Like a magician with one more trick up her sleeve, Fantasy Festival brings the American bestselling author Victoria Aveyard to the 2025 festival!
“It’s our nature. We destroy. It’s the constant of our kind. No matter the color of blood, man will always fall.” – from Aveyard’s novel Red Queen
Victoria Aveyard was born in 1990 and grew up in a small town in Massachusetts. She always knew she was meant to write and moved to California at the age of 18 to study screenwriting. Today, she lives in Santa Monica.
Her debut novel, Red Queen, was published in 2015 and already the following year it was released in Danish under the title Rød Dronning. The book was picked up by HarperCollins in 2013 with a three-book deal, and the film rights were sold to Universal Pictures. The Red Queen series is complete and consists of four books and two short story collections.
Her new series begins with Realm Breaker (2021), followed by Blade Breaker (2022), and Fate Breaker (2024). In this series, Corayne lives a quiet life—until fate comes knocking at her door in the form of an assassin and a mysterious immortal. She must save the world!
It will be truly magical to hear Victoria Aveyard talk about her writing process, why she’s so good at being wicked, and all the things she nerds out about herself. It all takes place at Esbjerg when Fantasy Festival 2025 unfolds.
“A king of ashes is still a king,” Taristan crowed. – from Aveyard’s novel Realm Breaker
