# The programme is ready: Fantasyfestival attracts visitors with 160 experiences and 115 stands

Festival guests can now explore this year’s programme and plan their own journey through the festival weekend on 19 and 20 September. Anyone who wants to attend the most sought-after talks and workshops should buy a wristband and book a seat now.

Fantasyfestival has now published the full programme for this year’s festival in Esbjerg. The programme can be viewed [online](https://fantasyfestival.eu/MOLIRIPAGE/aeb7c76b-b728-47c5-9b15-664c56d3d9fc "online") and picked up in printed form at the nearest library. At the same time, it is now possible to book seat reservations for the talks and workshops where the number of places is limited.

When Fantasyfestival takes over Esbjerg on 19-20 September, the city will once again be filled with authors, books, role-playing, gaming, workshops, street entertainment, market atmosphere and magical experiences for children, young people and adults alike.

The full festival programme features 160 unique events, and that number may grow as the festival weekend approaches. This means festivalgoers can now begin putting together their own journey through a programme that spans the Main Library, the Square, Musikhuset Esbjerg and several other locations in central Esbjerg.

>
> “It is always a special moment when we can present the full programme. Now guests can really begin planning their very own festival experience, and there is truly a lot to choose from. Whether you come to meet the authors, buy new books, find fresh inspiration for role-playing and gaming or take part in the thrilling experience trail Fantasy Quest Esbjerg, a weekend packed with stories and community connected to the fantasy genre awaits,” says Jacob Holm Krogsøe, creative lead for programme and content.

**Book a seat reservation**

With the programme now available, this is also the time for audiences to pay attention if there is something they do not want to miss. For a number of talks and workshops, participant numbers are limited. Here, both a Fantasyfestival wristband and a booked seat reservation are required to secure admission.

>
> “Our clear recommendation is not to wait too long. If there is a particular talk, for example with one of the international authors, Niki Topgaard or Hakkedrengene, that you would like to experience, you should buy a wristband and book a seat reservation,” says Jacob Holm Krogsøe.

**Become part of the story**

This year’s theme is the hero’s journey, and the theme unfolds across the festival. One of the places where audiences themselves become an active part of the adventure is Fantasy Quest Esbjerg. Here, participants move through the city, solve riddles, meet characters and complete challenges as part of a story that unfolds in the streets of Esbjerg.

Cosplay will also have a prominent place in this year’s programme. Cosplay is a creative hobby where participants dress up as characters from books, films and games. In the cosplay competition, the costumed participants are judged on the catwalk at Musikhuset Esbjerg. As something special this year, the festival’s best hero costume will also be crowned.

**115 stands**

Fantasyfestival is also a festival to explore. Inside and around the Main Library, on the Square and in Musikhuset Esbjerg, guests will find 115 stands tempting visitors on both Saturday and Sunday with books, art, games, merchandise, crafts, associations and much more from the fantasy genre.

Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to satisfy hunger and quench thirst along the way.

For some, the journey begins with a talk. For others, with a book, a costume, a role-playing game or a trip through the many stands. What they all have in common is that the festival weekend can now be planned, with the programme ready, wristbands for the festival and tickets for Fantasy Quest Esbjerg on sale, and seat reservations available for booking.
