The judges for this year's cosplay competition have been revealed
When you attend the Fantasy Festival on September 19–21, you’ll, for the very first time, see a cosplay competition on the program.
For the first time in the Fantasy Festival's history, we're hosting a cosplay competition. Even though there's still some time left, you can already start getting excited—and, importantly, sign up for the cosplay competition.
The competition consists of five categories. The judges will determine the winners of the first four categories.
To determine the winners in the four categories, we've carefully selected three judges, each bringing extensive experience and expertise from the cosplay community.
The judges are:
Villanya
My name is Villanya. I've been cosplaying for more than 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey, learning countless exciting techniques and materials along the way.
I mainly cosplay characters from video games, but I also adore fantasy and anything that sparkles with a touch of magic. I can't wait to see all the amazing costumes at the Fantasy Festival this year!

Stickweeds
I’m Fabian, also known as Stickweeds.
I'm a blacksmith, costume designer, nerd, and hobby inventor.
I've been a cosplayer since 2012 and have participated in several competitions as both a contestant and judge, in Denmark and abroad.
Day-to-day, I work on everything from regular craftsmanship to designing wild sci-fi creations, fantasy costumes, and cool props in my small workshop in Haslev. I'm incredibly excited to be at the Fantasy Festival!
Skymone
Skymone has always had a love for dressing up and creativity, and in 2013 she started making her own cosplays.
Her cosplays range from detailed elf characters—often mixing sewn elements, armor pieces, and special effects—to pink princesses, especially Rapunzel, since her almost floor-length hair is challenging to hide under a wig.
She has judged several international cosplay competitions and is thrilled to see all the creative cosplayers at the Fantasy Festival!
The four categories where our carefully selected judges will determine the winner are:
- Best Lookalike
- Best Original Character
- Best Craftsmanship
- Best Villain
The fifth and final category is "Audience Favorite," decided by audience vote.
