# Fantasy Festival welcomes three Danish headliners

Experience Niki Topgaard, ComKean and Hakkedrengene as they take audiences into their unique universes filled with heroes, gaming and film nerdery.

Fantasy does not only exist between the pages of books. It lives in gaming, in film, on YouTube and in the digital communities where millions follow along every day. This is exactly the development that Fantasy Festival is focusing on this year with three prominent Danish headliners: Niki Topgaard, ComKean and Hakkedrengene.

They each represent their own way of telling stories, but what they have in common is a very special connection to this year’s theme: the hero’s journey.

With these names, we show how the genre is evolving and constantly finding new ways to reach audiences,” says Jacob Holm Krogsøe, Creative Director of Programme and Content.

Niki Topgaard is coming to the festival with a creativity that has made him one of the most prominent names on the Danish YouTube scene. Behind the popular videos is also a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast with a deep love for distant galaxies and their heroes. This is the universe Niki Topgaard will bring to this year’s Fantasy Festival.

From the world of gaming comes ComKean, who for years has taken his audience on adventures through games and digital universes. Here, it is the story, the choices and the characters that drive the experience forward. He has also brought this approach into literature, where he is the author of the HeroKean book series. At the festival, he will talk about the journey from screen to book universe.

Audiences will encounter a completely different kind of energy with the podcast Hakkedrengene. Jacob Ege Hinchely, Morten Wichmann and Dan Andersen have made it their trademark to take a deep dive into major film experiences. At Fantasy Festival, they will explore the classic fantasy film *Willow* and unfold it with their very own combination of film nerdery and jokes, as audiences know it from their popular live shows.
