Alex Høgh Andersen Saves the Day at Fantasyfestival
When heroes step back, others rise to the challenge. Pilou Asbæk unfortunately had to cancel his appearance at Fantasyfestival – but fear not! Stepping in is another powerful actor who has already conquered both Denmark and the world. We are proud to present: Alex Høgh Andersen.
With his unforgettable role as the fearless Ivar the Boneless in the epic TV series Vikings, Alex became an international name. Since then, he has left his mark in acclaimed films such as The Shadow in My Eye and Nightwatch 2. Now, he’s headlining as Otto Himmelstrup in the major feature film Unit One: The First Murder – set in Esbjerg and kicking off this year’s Biografklub Danmark season.
And on September 20, he will also save Fantasyfestival, when he takes the stage at Musikhuset’s Concert Hall for an intense live conversation with the festival’s project manager and MA in Film Studies, Jacob Holm Krogsøe.
“We are absolutely thrilled that, just a month before the festival kicks off, we’ve managed to bring such a major name to the program. Without a doubt, it will be an evening in great company that you won’t want to miss,” says Jacob Holm Krogsøe.
An evening filled with stories from film and TV sets, encounters with international stars, reflections on the fantasy genre – and perhaps a glimpse into the darker sides that make a role unforgettable. Look forward to meeting the man who, despite being only 31, has already made a lasting mark on the big screen: Alex Høgh Andersen.
After the conversation, the audience will have the chance to meet Alex at a meet-and-greet. Selfie, autograph – or maybe a Viking sword waiting for his signature?
