Trudi Canavan
The Guest of Honour in 2016 was the Australian bestselling author Trudi Canavan, who visited Denmark for the first time.
Trudi Canavan was born in Kew, Melbourne, Australia, and has always enjoyed creating stories. She worked as a freelance illustrator and designer while writing the Black Magician series, with the first book being published in English in 2001 and in Danish in 2007.
Her visit to the Fantasyfestival was the first time she had visited Denmark, and we were pleased to host the Danish premiere.
The visit was organized in collaboration with the publisher Tellerup and carried out with support from Statens Kunstfond.
