# Sebastien de Castell

Sebastien de Castell was one of the Guests of Honour in 2018.

Sebastien is a Canadian fantasy author. He published his first book, *Traitor's Blade*, in 2014, and has since published six books in total, in two different series: *The Greatcoats* for adults and *Spellslinger* for young adults. *Spellslinger* was released in Danish by Gyldendal in 2017, and the second book is scheduled to be published in Danish sometime in 2018.

Sebastien is trained as an archaeologist but, after just four hours on his first excavation, realized that he actually hated archaeology. He put down his shovel and has since worked as a musician, teacher, and actor, as well as choreographing sword fights for theaters, before deciding to become a writer.
