Ryan Cahill is an Irish fantasy author and the writer of the award-winning, bestselling series The Bound and the Broken. He debuted as an independent author in March 2021 with Of Blood and Fire and, in less than three years, has sold over 300,000 copies, in addition to securing multiple audiobook and translation deals, including Czech, Italian, and Polish. The Bound and the Broken currently consists of three novels and three novellas, totaling over 1 million words.

Ryan was born and raised in Ireland but now resides among the rolling hills and hobbit holes of Middle-Earth, New Zealand. He grew up in a home where his parents loved books and stories, and he has always been fascinated by storytelling. He doesn’t own enough swords, would sell one of his kidneys for a dragon egg, and despises mushrooms in all their horrifying forms.

> My time at Fantasy Festival Denmark in 2024 was nothing short of spectacular. The festival itself was brimming with passion, enthusiasm, and an unfettered love for everything fantasy. The staff, volunteers, and the wonderful Kirsten, were truly amazing and it is so clear just how much love they have for this festival and the fantasy world as a whole. I would return in a heartbeat. This was a truly special experience that has to be seen to be understood.
