# Jim Butcher

Jim is an American fantasy author, known for the bestselling series *The Dresden Files*, *Codex Alera*, and the steampunk series *The Cinder Spires*. The first two books of *The Dresden Files* have been translated into Danish, with more volumes on the way. In addition to his books, Jim has also written numerous short stories and graphic novels set in the *Dresden Files* universe, and the series has been adapted into a TV show.

Jim lives with his family in the mountains near Denver, Colorado. When he's not writing, Jim is an avid gamer and role-player, and he also plays the guitar.
